DIY! 17 Star Hair and Makeup Looks to Try

Jessica Alba’s Makeup

“The muted cheeks, alluring cat-eyes and monochromatic palette looked especially pretty against Jessica’s gorgeous skin tone,” says makeup artist Fiona Stiles, who used Revlon makeup and EcoTools brushes to create a sophisticated face for Alba.

DO IT YOURSELF!

Skin: Use Bamboo Foundation Brush to apply PhotoReady Foundation in Caramel. Set the base with PhotoReady Powder in Medium/Deep, then use fluffy Bamboo Finishing Kabuki Brush to apply ColorStay Mineral Blush in Honey to cheeks.

Eyes: Cover lids with the pearlized gray shade of ColorStay Eyeshadow Quad in Sterling Rose, and add a bit of the same gray under the lower lashes. Apply Luxurious Color Eyeliner in Black Velvet at the outer corners, working the color into the lash line with Smudge Brush. Finish with a few coats of Grow Luscious Mascara in Black.

Lips: Smooth on ColorBurst Lipgloss in pale Crystal Lilac.

Ashley Greene's Hair

“I wanted Ashley’s hair to be sexy and architectural, so I focused on a deep side part and super-shiny finish,” says celebrity stylist Ted Gibson, who used products from his own line on the actress.

DO IT YOURSELF!

Prep: Start by spraying roots with Build It Spray, a blow-drying agent that volumizes hair. Then, carefully create a deep side-part in a diagonal direction. Keeping this shape, blow-dry hair until perfectly smooth.

Style: Run a dab of Tame It Shine Lotion through hair to protect from heat. Separate hair into small sections and use a flat iron to create a gleaming, stick-straight finish.

Set: Finish with Beautiful Hold Hairspray.

Camilla Belle’s Makeup

“To create a look that harmonized with Camilla’s bold black-and-rust dress, I focused on shades of copper, bronze and apricot,” says the actress's makeup artist, Vanitymark founder Brett Freedman.

DO IT YOURSELF!

Skin: Start with Murad’s lightweight Energizing Pomegranate moisturizer; let sink in. Then, use Makeup Forever HD foundation and Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage Concealer in shades that match your skin tone.

Eyes: Smooth M.A.C Eye Shadow in gray-brown Shroom on the brow bone and define the crease with M.A.C Eye Shadow in beige Wedge. Next, fully line eyes with Shiseido Automatic Fine Eyeliner Pen in Black; let dry. Top with Prestige Liquid Eye Liner in copper Legend. Define brows with Vanitymark Brow Powder.

Lips: Apply Benefit They're Real Mascara in Black on curled lashes.
